The Dammuso first appearance was on X Century, evolving its building technique up to the XVII century, when the place became safer from pirate incursions.

One of the other peculiar features of the place is the volcanic activity, with various and interesting way of showing themselves, through flows of hot waters (called Favare), or warm mineral water getting up to 70° C (called Caldarelle) and many other ways, dating back up to 8000 years ago
 
Not to mention the crystal clear waters and the magnificent olive trees and then again, the unique grapes whose wine, the Passito of Pantelleria, is well known all over Europe.

More reasons to come and even more to stay, which cannot be anticipated, but only experienced.
